Named after St Simon the Zealot, Apostle and Martyr, the aspirations of the Catholic community is to help each other to find the Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price – Jesus Christ. The community also aspires to help each other to be more alert on the culture of death and to proclaim the Gospel of Life especially through the family.

The church is located along Jalan Punai Tanah, off Mile 3.5 (or KM6) Jalan Tuaran and opposite SM Shan Tao (Shan Tao High School) near the Tai Chi Centre. It is about 500 meters west of Likas Sports Complex.
